Christmas Decorations

Last night I was surfing a few blogs looking for inspiration when I stumbled upon Copy Craft and a post called paper globe ornaments which led to the creation above, I would like to make quite a few of them in different colours for the Christmas tree this year :)

Fibromyalgia Journal Page

Some time ago I put together this page about fibromyalgia, a dis-ease that  many suffer from and that I have. The focus is on what I need to do to keep my fibromyalgia under control. Pain medication, healthy food, gentle exercise, keeping a positive frame of mind etc...(I do want to add here that these things do not necessarily work for everyone with fibromyalgia - they are just what I have found to work for me)  I no doubt will keep adding to this page as time goes by.

Spirit of Napier

This shot was taken early one morning in Napier a few years ago with my trusty Sony Cyber-shot, she is called the Spirit of Napier, currently she is being repaired (resurfaced I believe) to her former glory so isn't greeting the sun each morning, mores the pity. Once she's back on her plinth I will take my new toy - a Fuji FinePix S2950 - down and see if I can capture, an as dramatic, but better photograph.

Another photograph I took but in Taupo this time, in the centre of the township there is a park with the most awesome playground for children and towards the back of the park there are some gorgeously 'kiwi' carvings of which this is one.

This is another of my favourite photographs, a shot that I took in Ngaruawahia that I particularly like.

No art today - Sydney instead

Last October our family were lucky enough to travel to Sydney Australia to attend my sister in laws wedding. While we were there we played tourist and took photographs galore, above and below are some of my favourite ones.

A productive weekend

This weekend was spent as they often are with family, catching up on chores, contemplating a new week and managing to slip in a few hours of arts & crafts, above is the result of my efforts.

August 2011 Page

On my travels around the www I have found these awesome bloggers who have entered into journalling challenge called 365 Art Journal Calendar which is being hosted by Kate Crane, now I'm not at this stage going to join in on this challenge but I couldn't help but be inspired and spent last night/this morning putting together a page for August 2011 with a winter theme as that's the season here at the moment.

Whilst searching the www for inspiration I stumbled upon a gem of a website called Go Make Something, now the title is just plain catchy so I delved deeper into this wondrous site and found torso tags in the free printables section. Using the tags template, ribbons, card, bling & cuttlebug I had alot of fun creating the tag above.
